What is recorded here

In flat pastureland. A fairly well-preserved circular cashel (diam. c. 35m) defined by a drystone wall from NW to NE. From NE to SE a later field wall overlies the cashel wall, which survives as a low mound. No visible surface trace of the monument survives from SE to SW, where the area is occupied by a farmyard. From SW to NW a low grassy mound indicates the line of the wall. The interior is subdivided by three modern walls. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 13 October 2016
