What is recorded here

Part of Baile na mBocht (GA110-162----). Verv poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (N-S 18.5m, E-W 12.5m) defined by a bank of earth and stone from W through N to E, elsewhere by a scarp. It is cut by three walls and there is a possible annexe at NE. Overlying the wall in W part of the interior is a rectangular drystone structure (3m by 2.4m), possibly the remains of a later hut. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). Date of upload: 05 August 2010
