What is recorded here

This possible building is part of the monastic complex known as na Seacht dTeampaill/the Seven Churches. It is c. 20m to the SSW of Teampall Bhreacáin/Temple Brecan (GA110-010001-) and c. 8m to the W of another building (GA110-010012-). It consists of a scatter of limestone boulders and is roughly rectangular in plan (4.6m N-S; 4.4m E-W). The W side (Wth 0.9m; max. H 0.8m) is best preserved, inner and outer facing stones are evident. No trace survives of the N limits and the E side is defined by two moss-covered boulders. The S side appears to have been cut into the natural bluff. (Waddell 1973, 16, Building I; Gosling 1993, 63, no. 349) Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 8 March 2016
