At the E end of Eyrecourt village, in woodland beside the main entrance to Eyrecourt House (GA108-086001-). According to a wall monument (GA108-089002-) in the N wall, this poorly preserved, now roofless, rectangular nave and chancel church (15.8m E-W; 6m N-S) was founded in 1677 by ‘Johanes Eyre’. The entrance, in the W gable, is via a pointed-arch doorway with a later porch. The main architectural features comprise two pairs of opposing rectangular windows in the S and N side-walls of the nave. There are also traces of a blocked ope (possibly a doorway) mid-way along the N side-wall. The chancel (L 3.7m; Wth 4.1m) is entered via a round arch. Its floor is slightly raised over a vault. The interior of the church is covered with loose stone and overgrown with trees. The OS Letters record that the roof had just been ‘slated’, but that it was not then being used for worship (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 2, 62). A rectangular graveyard (GA108-089001-) surrounds the church.
