In gently undulating pastureland overlooking marshland to the NW. Marked on the OS 6-inch maps as a roughly circular enclosure (diam. c. 45m). On inspection in April 1984 only the outline of this monument was barely discernible above ground level. According to local information, it was a ‘fort’ and it was levelled c. 1979 during land-improvement works. Its outline is clearly visible on the OSi aerial photographs (Google maps).
