What is recorded here

On a gentle rise in undulating pastureland. Poorly preserved irregularly shaped rath (c. 75m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (base Wth 4.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 1.2m). The bank is visible from S through W to NE. A gap (Wth 2.5m) at NNE appears to be modern. There is a souterrain (GA106-158001-) in the NW sector of the interior. In the SE sector a subcircular earthen bank (c. 20m by 16.3m; H 0.4m) may be an internal division. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 25 April 2018
