What is recorded here

Some 90m to the N of a church (GA105-029001-). Described by Rynne (1975, 102-3) as a sacred ash tree, which was known locally as ‘The Blessed Tree’. It was ‘killed in September 1961 by Hurricane Debbie’. Rynne (ibid.) also noted a young ash growing in the huge hollow trunk; it was 'surrounded by a ring of stones within which, now partly under the dead trunk, is a double cavity bullaun (GA105-029009-)'.
