What is recorded here

Some 100m to the NW of a church (GA105-029001-). Marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map as a subtriangular enclosure (c. 60m ENE-WSW; max. Wth at W c. 28m; max. Wth at E c. 10m). It is defined by intermittent traces of a collapsed drystone wall (Wth 0.85m; int. H 0.7m; ext. H 0.75m) which are visible at NW, NNE to ESE and from SE to SW. Two holy wells (GA105-029006- and GA105-029007-) and a bullaun stone (GA105-029009-) lie c. 20m to the SE. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 15 February 2019
