In a turlough c. 15m to the S of a channel of the Dunkellin River. This crannog (diam. 30m; H 3m) is defined by a circular tree-covered cairn of stones, which is delimited by a low drystone wall of large blocks. Near its summit, a roughly rectangular enclosure (L 3m; Wth 1.5m) constructed of drystone walling, one course high, may be a modern feature possibly associated with 'duck-hunters' who used the site for concealment (McCaffrey 1952, 43, no. 1).
