What is recorded here

In level pastureland. Classified by McCaffrey (1952, 246, no. 19) as a circular ‘Earthen fort’ (diam. c. 40m), defined by two banks and an intervening fosse, which was ‘breached and destroyed on the west side’. There was an entrance gap (Wth c. 1.8m) to the E. The monument has been levelled and was evident as a circular area of longer grass and nettles.
