This souterrain was discovered in 1978 when the landowner removed a large stone flag, which had been protruding just above the ground surface. Through this breach access was gained to a drystone-built passage (L 13.5m; Wth 2.2m max.; H 1.75m) running E-W. An air vent was evident in the end wall at W (information from E. Rynne). The souterrain was subsequently sealed up. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 6 September 2019

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
