What is recorded here

On a slight rise in scrubland. Poorly preserved roughly circular cashel (diam. 15.5m) defined by a drystone wall from NNW through E to SW; elsewhere field-clearance rubble obscures the enclosing element. A field boundary cuts the monument at NW and WSW and another extends from it and cuts it at SE. (McCaffrey 1952, 187-8, no. 55) Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 18 January 2017
