What is recorded here

On a ridge in undulating pastureland. On inspection in January 1985 a number hawthorn trees were growing on top of this fairly well-preserved subcircular flat-topped earthen mound (base Wth 15m N-S; 13.75m E-W; Wth at top 7.2m N-S; 6.9m E-W; H 1.3-1.7m). On re-inspection in April 2008 it was noted that the trees had since been removed. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 12 November 2019
