Some 85m WNW of a ringfort (GA099-143----), it lies immediately N of a number of ruined buildings marked on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1947) as 'Mc Dermott's Lodge (in Ruins)'. A D-shaped rath (N-S 31m, E-W 29.5m), in fair condition, defined by a bank from NNE to E and from SSW through W to N. A small outhouse abuts the enclosing element at SW.
