What is recorded here

In gently undulating pastureland. Subcircular rath (N-S 29m, E-W 26m), in fair condition, defined by a bank of earth and stone. A gap (Wth 2m) at E may be original. Two-hollows visible outside the monument to N and ESE appear to be the result of quarrying. Other ringforts lie 85m to WNW (GA099-145----) and 90m to SSW (GA099-144----). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). Date of upload: 05 August 2010
