What is recorded here

On a ridge in grassland, c. 50m to the W of a stream. Subcircular rath (34m NNW-SSE; 32m WSW-ENE), in fair condition, defined by a bank and external fosse; the latter survives from NW through N to NE, and from SW to W. A curving trackway may indicate its line from NE to E. A N-S running field fence cuts the monument at W. The remains of a later stone hut, which was built into the external face of the bank, are visible at SE. A rectangular depression in the SW quadrant of the interior may indicate the line of a possible collapsed souterrain (GA098-057001-).
