In July 1959 human remains were discovered by workmen on the grounds of St. Cleran's house (GA097-146003-). The site was visited by Prof. Duignan, who reported it to the National Museum of Ireland. Possibly associated with the church (GA097-146003-), as Prof. Duignan noted that the burials were found to the E of the 'last remnants of a small church whose masonry looks medieval'. No further details were recorded as to the type of burials (pers. comm. M. Cahill and M. Sikora, NMI).
