What is recorded here

On a ridge in grassland. Poorly preserved subcircular rath (33m N-S; 29.5m E-W) defined by a scarp from ESE through S to NW. No visible surface trace of the enclosing element survives from NW through E to ESE but its line is preserved in a curving field wall from NW to NE. A low earthen mound in N sector of the interior appears to be natural. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 11 January 2018
