In level pastureland, some 125m to the S of Clogharevaun Castle (GA097-084001-). Described by Cody (1989, 159, no. 16) as a flat-topped grass-covered mound (12m E-W; 8m N-S; H 0.6m), roughly crescentic in plan and open to the N. The Clogharevaun River flows E-W immediately to its S. Some apparently burnt stone was visible in the river bank towards the W end of the mound. According to Cody (ibid.), the S edge of the fulacht fia was removed when the course of the river was straightened some time between 1838 and 1892. It was originally located c. 10-12m to N of the river.
