What is recorded here

On a rise in an area of rock outcrop and grassland. Poorly preserved almost circular cashel (30m N-S; 29m E-W) defined by a drystone wall of which only intermittent foundation stones survive. A gap (Wth 1.6m) flanked by two upright stones at SW is probably the original entrance. There is a souterrain (GA097-061003-) in the SW quadrant of the interior and another possible souterrain (GA097-061004-) in the SE quadrant. In the N sector are traces of a grassed-over house site (GA097-061005-). A wire fence cuts across the monument at NNW and SSW. An earthwork (GA097-061002-) lay c. 20m to the SW.
