Almost centrally located in Killeeneenmore village, this roughly rectangular graveyard (ENE-WSW c. 36m; NNW-SSE c. 25m) is delimited by an ivy-covered stone-built wall. Access is gained through a gateway at SW. Burials date from the late 18th century and are marked by table tombs, headstones and recumbent slabs. The remains of a late-medieval church (GA096-121----) occupy its central area. The graveyard is known as locally as ‘Reilig na BhFilí’ (the poets' graveyard) as the poets Mark and Patsy Callanan (the poets of Carheenadiveane) and Anthony Raftery (Antoine Ó Raifteirí, the Irish bard) are buried here.
