According to McCaffrey (1952, 144), there was 'an enclosure (?)' immediately to the W of the rath (GA095-128001-). It was 'much damaged by quarrying'. The area was searched but no visible surface trace of any monument was visible. A disused quarry pit was noted to the N but, likewise, nothing of archaeological significance was discernible. The 'enclosure' may have been completely quarried out following McCaffrey's inspection.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
