In low-lying marshland. Named ‘Toberbellananima’ in Gothic script on the 1838 and 1920 editions of the OS 6-inch maps. According to the OS Letters (O’Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 311), the well was known as ‘Beúl an Anmh … the mouth of the soul’. It is one of three natural springs that feed a short NE-SW flowing tributary of a stream to the SW. Named ‘Open Well’ on the current OSi digital mapping.
