Associated with a medieval church (GA095-059----). During the course of restoration works around the church in 1983 human bones were found near the S wall and one complete skeleton was uncovered to the E of the doorway. Scatterings of bones were also noted under the window in the E gable and along the N wall. These probably indicate the presence of a graveyard around the church though one is not recorded on the OS 6-inch maps and was not recorded by Redington (1912, 179-80) or O’Flanagan (1927, Vol. 1, 289, 291).
