In May 1959 c. seven skeletons were discovered during digging works at the site of Hotel Enda, Dominick Street Lower, in Galway city. The remains were reported to be buried c. 1.8m below ground level, and, according to one report, they were lying head to head rather than parallel to one another. The site was reported to the NMI and was visited by Etienne Rynne, but by that time the site had been covered by concrete. The site was not visited by NMI personnel (pers. comm. M. Cahill and M. Sikora, NMI)..
