In gently undulating grassland. An underground spring well enclosed by an oval mortared well-chamber (L 1m, Wth 0.6m), capped by a large displaced flagstone. Two steps lead down to the water at N. According to local information, the well was used for medicinal and domestic purposes up to 20 years ago. The flagstone, which was originally lying flat, was deliberately moved to yield easier access. The site of 'St. Patrick's Stone' (GA087-186----) lies 500m to SSE.
