What is recorded here

In level pastureland with rock outcrop. Poorly preserved circular rath (diam. 31m) defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The inner bank is composed of earth; large slabs set on edge along its inner face do not appear to have formed a facing or revetment but rather a stone core upon which earth was heaped (Cody 1989, 198, no. 48). The fosse is visible all round and the outer bank survives from SSW through W to NNW. A gap (Wth 3m) at E may be original.
