This rectangular wall plaque (Wth 1.07m; H 1.4m) is set into the N window in the transept. It bears a shield with an inscription on each side and below it. It was transcribed by Macalister (1913, 215, XVIII) as: ‘PRAY FOR THE | SOVLE OF Pt | OLIVE R. BRO |WNE ESQR OF CVL | ARAN AND IVLIAN LYN| CH HIS WIFE WHO EREC | TED THIS MONUMENT FOR | THEM AND THEIR POSTE | RITY ANO DNI 18686’. The shield bears an eagle with two heads for Browne and a chevron between three trefoils for Lynch (ibid.) (Bradley and Dunne 1992, 39)
