In a field of corn. No visible surface trace survived of a hachured feature marked on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map when inspected in 1983. On the OS Fair Plan map it is one of three features annotated 'G. Pits', suggesting that it was a gravel pit which has since been infilled. As it was of post-AD 1700 date it does not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
