What is recorded here

On W-facing slope in karst terrain. Poorly preserved subcircular enclosure (N-S 45m) defined by a field wall which probably overlies the original enclosing element, of which only faint traces are visible. A gap at SW could be original. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'. Compiled by Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). Date of upload: 05 August 2010
