What is recorded here

Some 85m NW of, and upslope from, an oratory (GA081-011001-). This well, correctly Tobar Éinne, is a natural spring delimited by an oval drystone wall (1.17m by 0.8m) with an entrance at SE. According to Killanin (1947, 122) it is resorted to for diseases of the eye. (Killanin and Duignan 1967, 381) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'.
