In N half of Loch Síodúch. A small circular overgrown island (D c. 15m) known locally as Oileán na bhFraochóg. It consists of an almost conical earthen mound (H 2m) defined around its perimeter by stones and boulders. Difficult to assess whether it is artificial or not, but an iron object of uncertain date has been recorded from it and it appears to be regarded locally as a 'crannog' (Topgr. Files, NMI). There is a possible hut (GA077-025----) on an adjacent island to SE, and an island cashel (GA077-022----) 240m to NE, on an adjoining lake.
