In gently undulating farmland to S of the Galway-Dublin railway line. An undated aerial photograph (Topgr. Files, NMI) shows intermittent traces of old field boundaries covering a large area c. 1200m E-W by c. 600 N-S. A number of irregular fields are discernible, some with traces of cultivation ridges, but no coherent pattern is apparent. Three ringforts (GA086-106001-, GA073-081001-, GA073-081003-) are associated. (ASGAP 377:16)
