What is recorded here

The creep of a souterrain and human remains (GA071-089----) were discovered in the W face of a sand and gravel quarry in 2011. The creep was defined by two low portions of vertical walling (ext. Wth 1.50m; ext. H 1m). The tops of the walls were 0.30m below ground surface and the E wall appeared to support a partially discplaced lintel. On the ground surface above and to the N of the creep, a shallow rectangular depression may indicate the track of the souterrain. The burial (GA071-089----) was exposed in the face of the quarry c. 24m to the SW. Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 1 December 2011
