What is recorded here

Located on the ground along the south wall of the nave of the friary (GA070-035001-). Described by Bradley and Dunne (1992, 61) as a broken 17th-century ‘cross-slab’ (L 0.71m; Wth 0.61m; T 0.11m) decorated with a cross in relief and bearing the following inscription: PRAY FOR …/ VLES OF …./ ALY AND …/ …A.. On inspection in June 2018 a fragment of a slab close to the S wall of the nave roughly matched the dimensions of the slab recorded by Bradley and Dunne (ibid.), however, no trace of an inscription was evident on it.
