The name 'R.C. Chapel' appears on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map, c. 60m further to NNW of a church (GA061-089004-). However, it is unclear whether this applies to one of the other small structures shown in N part of the graveyard (GA061-089003-) or to the long rectangular building (c. 20m by c. 5m), aligned NNW-SSE, immediately outside it to N. The latter also appears on 3rd ed. of OS 6-inch map (1915) but it was not inspected during fieldwork.
The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999).

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
