In grassland, on W-facing slope, c. 100m W of the td. boundary and adjacent to a castle (GA060-084001-). This CBG consists of an unenclosed slightly raised rectangular area (N-S 11m, E-W 10m); a modern field wall forms N boundary. Within the interior are numerous small set stones indicating graves oriented E-W; a small cross-inscribed slab, with the initials PK, stands in SE quadrant.(O'Flanagan 1927, Vol. 1, 248) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
