In gently undulating pastureland; formerly demesne land. This is one of four similar features marked on the 1838 edition of the OS 6-inch map (see also GA059-072001- to GA059-072003-). This example is shown as roughly circular unenclosed tree copse (diam. c. 36). It was probably a landscape feature associated with the demesne. Not visited. Aerial photography (https://binged.it/2a9wD7S last accessed 29 July 2016) dating to May 2012 indicates that the trees have been cleared away.
