In gently undulating pastureland; formerly demesne land. One of 14 similar features marked on the OS 6-inch maps (see also GA059-064---- to GA059-064006- and GA059-064008- to GA059-064013-). This example is shown on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16) as a roughly subcircular enclosure (c. 42m E-W; c. 32m N-S) defined by a solid line and planted with trees. No trace of the enclosing element survives and at the time of visit a pond occupied the site.
