In gently undulating pastureland; formerly demesne land. One of 14 similar features marked on the OS 6-inch maps (see also GA059-064---- to GA059-064003- and GA059-064005- to GA059-064013-). This example is shown on the OS 1:2500 plan (surveyed 1912-16) as a small roughly circular enclosed tree copse (diam. c. 15m). A small depression bisected by a roughly NNE-SSW running field boundary marks its site.
