What is recorded here

On a rise in grassland. Poorly preserved roughly circular cashel (D 44.3m) defined by a drystone wall. Within W sector of the interior are an internal division and two rectangular stone structures: (a) (N-S; L 6m, Wth 2.9m), and (b) (NE-SW; L 3m, Wth 2m), possible houses. Another house (GA057-115----) lies c. 70m to NNE. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
