On a low E-W running esker ridge. During quarrying in 1933, a short almost rectangular slab-built cist (NE-SW; L 0.75m, Wth 0.6m, H 0.45m) was found. It contained the cremated bones of an adult, an Irish Vase, two plano-convex flint knives and a small segmented bone object. Sometime before 1933 another cist containing bones had been found c. 100m to W, also as a result of quarrying, but it was not investigated (Costello 1935, 63-6; Waddell 1975, 15-16; 1990, 93). No visible surface trace of either survives.
