Within W half of a ringfort (GA057-028----). A plan of this souterrain drawn up by Costello (1902b, 114-15) indicates that it consists of four chambers linked by three creeps. Killanin and Duignan (1967, 449) refer to three chambers. Only two are now evident. Access to both is via a gap in the roof. The 1st chamber (L 11.65m, Wth c. 1.9m), which lies inside W limits of the bank of the ringfort, runs NNW-SSE and a creep is visible at NNW end. The 2nd chamber (L c. 10.4m) lies just NNW of the centre. It also runs NNW-SSE and a creep extends off N end of SSW wall. The SSE end, beyond the gap, is almost completely filled in. Access beyond both creeps was impossible.
