On a slight NW-facing slope in gently rolling pastureland. A low partially destroyed earthen mound (ENE-WSW 21.8m, NNW-SSE c. 16.5m, H 0.9m). When examined in 1924 (Costello 1924a, 110), it was a substantial circular mound (D 15m, H 2m) with a cairn-like core, beneath which was a cist (N-S; L 1.2m, Wth 1m) standing on the old ground surface. This contained the unburnt bones of an adult male and a child, an Irish Bowl and an oddly shaped pebble. A second cist lay at NE edge of the mound but without any capstone. This was reported as having contained 'some fragments of bones'. A cairn (GA055-001001-) stands 410m to NW and an anomalous stone group (GA055-011----) stood 110m to WSW.
