Close to W shore of Loch Caimín. A subrectangular artificial island (N-S 16m, E-W 15.2m) which, though heavily overgrown, has traces of an enclosing drystone wall (H 1.25m) at W and S, and a possible quay at S. (Wood-Martin 1893, 34; Kinahan 1872, 12) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. I - West Galway'.
