In undulating pastureland. Four hachured features marked on the 1932 edition of the OS 6-inch map proved on inspection in 1984 to be disused sand or gravel pits. Only traces of the most northerly pit survived as a subcircular shallow depression overgrown with nettles. As they are of post-AD 1700 date they do not come within the remit of the Archaeological Survey of Ireland.
