Within a ringfort (GA046-059----). A well-preserved drystone-built souterrain, T-shaped in plan, consisting of two chambers connected by a creep. Access is gained via the partially collapsed S end of the 1st chamber (L 6.95m, Wth 1.83m) which runs N-S. The creep (L 3.2m, Wth 0.43m, H 0.67m), running E-W, is about midway along W wall of this chamber. It is on a higher level than the chamber floors and is approached, on both sides, by three steep steps. The 2nd chamber (L 5.9m, Wth 1.82), also running E-W, has a steep upwardly sloping passage (L 3m) at its W end which exits on the outer face of the bank of the rath. There is a small recess in S wall of this chamber, near W end.
