One of five houses (see also GA044-020003- to GA044-020006-) within the interior of the cashel (GA044-020----). This example is in the SW quadrant. A level stone-free rectangular area (6.1m E-W; 3.25m N-S) is defined by intermittent lines of boulders, with traces of double wall-facing (wall T 1.3m) along the N and E sides. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'. Compiled by Olive Alcock, Kathy de hÓra and Paul Gosling (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1999). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
