On a rise in undulating grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular cashel (NE-SW 41m, NW-SE 36m) defined by a much-collapsed drystone wall which survives at N and S. A field wall cuts the monument at NE and SE, to E of which a scarp forms the enclosing element. No visible surface trace survives from SW to NW. Within the interior is a probable souterrain (GA043-069001-) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
