This is one of three cross-inscribed stones (see also GA040-013013- and GA040-01314-) found by Higgins (1987, vol. II, 285, no. 16) on Inchagoill. This example, now recumbent, is incorporated into the trackway (GA040-013012-) between the two churches: ‘St. Patrick’s Church’ (GA040-013001-) and ‘Templenaneeve’ (GA040-013004-). This example consists of a large subrectangular slab of shale (L 0.9m; Wth 1.18m); parts of it are embedded beneath the adjoining paving slabs. It bears a single-line Latin cross with slightly splayed terminals roughly in its centre. One terminal on the arm of the cross has been broken away.
